These 6 Skills Will Make You Millions

Today, I’m going to share with you six skills that’ll help you make your first million dollars.

In a world of get-rich-quick schemes, 22-year-old millionaire gurus sharing their latest money making hacks, and just plain old scammers, there’s a lot of misguided content out there on what it takes to build actual wealth.

We’re gonna strip out all the fluff and get hyperfocused on the core money making skills that actually matter.

By focusing all your energy on the few levers that matter most, you increase your outputs relative to your inputs, which is how you’ll not only make more money in less time, but also maximize your Return on Life.

The problem is that most guides focus too narrowly on specific money making tactics (or hacks), rather than helping you develop universal skills and strategies that’ll work regardless of where you deploy them.
If you want to make more money, you need more valuable skills.

There will be zero hacks or tricks in this issue. Just proven strategies and skills that’ll increase your earning potential by focusing on developing Core Skills and Money Making Skills.

The benefits of this model are:

Mastering your most valuable asset
Developing the highest ROI skill

Increasing your influence

Now before we dive into the 6 skills you need to develop, let’s talk about an important concept:

The Skill Stack

The gap between Good and Great is surprisingly large.

The gap between Good and Good Enough is surprisingly small.

When it comes to making money, we’re simply aiming to be Good Enough.

The easiest way to achieve this is by getting into the top 10% of 5-6 complimentary skills. Now, I know, getting into the top 10% might seem like a tall task, but actually, it’s not.

Studies show that most people can achieve a high degree of competence in most tasks with as little as 60 hours of concerted focus.

If you stack a handful of skills like this, you’ll quickly become a stand-out.

Here’s another helpful framework for thinking about skill acquisition:

Treat yourself like a video game character.

In the beginning you get to choose between different stat bars like Strength, Dexterity, Charisma, Intelligence, and Constitution.

These are Core Skills that all characters in the game have some baseline ability in.
In the game of becoming a millionaire, these skills are a prerequisite.

Once the adventure begins you must decide where to allocate points towards different skill trees.
Maybe you’re a fireball-wielding mage or a tomahawk hawking barbarian.

These are what I call Money Making Skills and there a countless options you could develop. I’m going to share the 3 I think are the most overpowered in the game of money.

But before we can worry about that, we must master these 3 Core Millionaire Skills.

The Three Core Millionaire Skills

1. Focus

Many people believe Time is their most valuable asset.

It’s not, because Time is not something you control.

When somebody asks for a bit of your time, what they’re really asking for is your attention.

Which is why:

FOCUS is your most valuable asset.

The quality of your focus and where you place it will have the biggest impact on your ability to make money (and ultimately your life).

2. LEARNING

My life rapidly started changing for the better once I realized that “learning” is a skill.

As such, it can be improved.

Learning how to learn might just be the highest ROI skill you can master.

The difficulty then is to figure out how YOU learn best.

As Jim Rohn says:

“A formal education will make you a living, a self education will make you a fortune.”

3. DISCIPLINE

Discipline is the ability to move your mind and body with unwavering intent towards a goal no matter the obstacles or time required.

The one trait separating super successful people from everybody else is their ability to stick with a task, without getting distracted or demotivated, until it’s completed.

Simply put they realize that:

Discipline beats Motivation

So those are our 3 Core Millionaire Skills: Focus, Learning, Discipline.

1. COMMUNICATION

Regardless of how you make your first million dollars, it will inevitably involve other people whether that be partners, vendors, customers, or employees.

Humans communicate in hundreds of ways, but here are 4 aspects of communication worth mastering:

Public Speaking

Also, to increase your ability to influence, learn Storytelling and Persuasion.

2. FINANCE & INVESTING

To win the money game, you must first understand the rules.

Only then can you start mastering the tactics and strategies.

3. LEVERAGE

“Leverage is the discrepancy between what you put in and what you get out.” – Alex Hormozi

Take this to heart if you want to build wealth.

Most people exchange their time for money, which is a terrible form of leverage because your outputs are linked directly to your inputs.

If you’re tired of putting so much in and getting so little out, become a student of leverage.

Technology
