What’s up, all you beautiful people? Welcome back to the pod. Okay, so I. You might not know this. I don’t talk about it a ton, but if you’ve been listening to the podcast for a hot minute, then you’d be aware that we launched a group coaching program a couple months back for entrepreneurs. And over the last few years, I’ve been working privately with five. I would actually. I work privately, typically with, like, a seven figure entrepreneur, and we help them scale to eight figures. The group coaching is really for five and six figure entrepreneurs trying to go to seven and eight figures.
And we just launched this because I wanted to give back and communicate in a way with those entrepreneurs who might not yet have the money to invest, the money needed to work with me privately. And the problem is, to work with the best people in the industry, you gotta pay a lot. And I understand that’s not an investment that a lot of people necessarily can make, because they don’t. Just not sitting on piles of cash. Right. So we launched the group coaching program in a way that we can make it more economically feasible for the students so they can get the value, they can get the exposure, and they can get the coaching necessary to help them grow their business. But it makes it economical for me to be able to justify, okay, I’m going to put the time and energy into this thing because my per hour wage is very, very, very high. So the thing is, this program, for a lot of people, is still very expensive.
And if you’re not used to investing, you know, four to five figures into an educational program, it can feel very daunting. But I wanted to share something today that I experienced on my journey many, many years ago, when I made my first big investment into a high ticket coaching mentorship, mastermind program. And I’m not sharing this with you so that you want to come and work with me. That’s not why I’m. That’s not my interest here. The reason is my life truly transformed when I started investing into myself differently, when I started rewiring the narratives I had in my head about who I am and what I’m willing to spend in pursuit of becoming the highest and best version of myself. And there’s a single phrase I’m going to share with you today that transformed my life in a very real way. When I made my first, it would have been a $10,000 investment into a coaching program, into a mentorship, into a mastermind community.
And it took me a lot to get to the place where I was comfortable making that investment. This was well after I had already been making very good money. So 10,000 wasn’t going to materially affect my life in any kind of way. And yet it was still a decision that I hemmed and I hawed and I was very uncomfortable making. And we could chalk that up to the fact that as you’re on your wealth building journey, you probably spent a period of your life not having won the money game, right? So money is a very real stressor for you. And you have to learn how to be frugal, live below your means, make every penny work for you so that you can stretch it and grow a successful business. And then there comes a point when you’ve won the money game, you have more than you possibly could need, but you’re still wired with that frugality mindset and that becomes a very hard thing to decouple. And that’s kind of where I was and I was having to relearn, like you need to invest into yourself to continue growing.
So I went back and forth on this program for many, many weeks and I talked to everybody in my life. I looked up all the reviews that I could on the program. I was trying to get as much feedback, collect as much data as I possibly could. And at the end of it, the decision was finally made off the back of a conversation that I had with my dad. And his point? He said something, I don’t remember exactly how he said it, but it was so very poignant and it was transformative for me in that moment because I go, you’re right. And I’ve only seen this play out more and more as I’ve. I’ve paid increasingly large amounts. Like over the years, I’ve paid.
I’ve spent over a half million dollars at this point over the last probably five years just on my personal development, on coaches, on programs like that. So I’ve gone hog wild into this and I’ve yet to have a single investment that didn’t pay dividends. And I’ll share why that is in a second. But his point was this. He says, anthony, even if this program turns out to be a scam, you will have proven to yourself that you are the person who spends $10,000 on you. You will have shown yourself, you have delivered that piece of proof and put your money where your mouth is. And that in itself is probably worth $10,000. And this is coming from a guy who hadn’t really ever invested that kind of money into his own personal education.
I mean, he was educated and very smart, gentlemen. But my dad isn’t going around taking and getting into masterminds, into coaching and all this stuff. But even he, he looked at it from his perspective, and he’s like, listen, worst case scenario, you just cast a very big vote for the type of person that you want to be, and then the thing is, you’re going to start living in alignment with that. And this is the phrase, I didn’t hear this until many years later, but this is the single phrase that encapsulate that concept. He said, it’s this. The transformation occurs at transaction. The transformation occurs at transaction. And I will tell you something.
For me, that was 100% true the moment I made the decision, the moment I wired that $10,000 over. It didn’t even matter what I learned in the program from that point. The way that I showed up and I moved forward transformed overnight, because suddenly I became the person who acts in alignment with these massive investments that he makes in himself. And it. I was taking a course in a very specific niche of real estate at that point. I really wanted to understand that one thing, but it transformed all different dynamics in my life, transformed how I showed up and that right there was worth the price of admission. And every time I invest into a program, it just reaffirms that this is the type of person that I am, that I recognize the value of investing in the most valuable asset, which is me. And every time I do that.
And what’s interesting is if I go a period of time where I haven’t made a big investment in myself, I start to feel it. I start to feel as though I’m not the person worth investing in. It’s the same as, like, routine maintenance. If you were to buy an apartment building, that’s an asset, right? If you’re not there taking care of it month in, month out, month, like, it’s going to start declining, right? And at a certain point, you look back over at it, and you might have done all the best work on it a year ago, but a year has gone by. You haven’t mowed, you haven’t taken care of the roof, you haven’t taken care of the siding, you haven’t taken care of any of the pipes, right? And it’s starting to dilapidate and fall apart. It’s the same with you. You have to continue investing into this asset to upkeep it and to make it better. And when I do that consistently, I feel like I’m worthy of that investment, and I feel more abundant in my mindset.
Around the world. And I share this with you because again, my hope here is not that you come and work with me, though that would be very cool if you want to do that. But the idea here is I don’t. The number one denominator that I see with the really successful people in my life is that they have unlimited budgets when it comes to spending on themselves, to investing into themselves. It’s not about the material purchases. It’s about the little deposits that they make into themselves. And if I could encourage you, if you’re on the fence right now about a program or coach that you want to work with, and you’re like, I don’t know, it’s a lot of money. I don’t know if it’s going to be worth it.
I will tell you this, that the transformation occurs at transaction. Everything from that point on is just gravy. And it’s one of the most difficult things to communicate because I get a lot of people who approach me, they want to learn about working with me. I share the price of working with me and they go, oh, that’s too much. And I go, I understand that, but I’m telling you, I’m going to make this the best investment you’ve ever made. I’m going to make this worthwhile. I’m going to make sure that it pays for itself very quickly. However, the biggest roi you’re going to get, it doesn’t have anything to do with me.
It’s going to happen at the moment of transaction when you make that decision, and the game will change forever. I promise. So hope this brings you guys a little bit of value.
